PRETTY IN PINK
Newmarket, Queensland
After the fifth child was born, this active young family was outgrowing their home. What began as an upgrade ended up as a major family home renovation on a grand scale with 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and a number of living areas over 3 levels. Gabrielle was engaged to work with the architect and builder and the client to create a modern cohesive palette, featuring pops of pretty pink and to create practical solutions for this young family with 5 kids under 12 years old.
Each room in the house is designed with the family in mind and includes bespoke cabinetry in the kids’ bedrooms, playroom, living room, study, library, laundry and mudroom creating organised and playful spaces. The calming palette of fresh white finishes, soft greys, pale pinks and navy in the living and dining area sets the scene for the rest of the house. while the kids spaces incorporate pops of primary colours. A selection of Australian designer furniture and lighting, custom made furnishings, original contemporary art and object combine to provide a forever home for this family to enjoy.
