SAOIR HOUSE

Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

After downsizing to this inner-city, architect-designed home, the owners decided to start afresh with their furniture and furnishings to create a more contemporary vibe that suited their new home and lifestyle as empty nesters. Moving from their family home where they raised four children, they desired a space reflecting their new phase of life.

To honour the contemporary architecture and rich history of this home, we combined modern furnishings with contemporary classics and incorporated the clients’ art collection. Our goal was to create a warm and inviting environment for the couple, while also providing a space suitable for entertaining their family and friends. The main bedroom was turned into a luxury retreat while guest rooms were thoughtfully decorated for family members who live interstate, and with the arrival of a new granddaughter, the fourth bedroom was transformed into a nursery.

“WE’ve ALREADY HOSTED MANY GATHERINGS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN THIS HOME & ALL THOSE WHO VISIT ARE DELIGHTED NOT ONLY BY THE ARCHITECTURE OF OUR HOME BUT HOW IT IS DECORATED.  WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULT.”

— Kristen, Fortitude Valley

“For our new home, I envisioned a contemporary aesthetic with a bold touch, reflecting my passion for interiors and fashion. Gabrielle not only understood this vision but brought it to life with a thoughtful selection of classic and contemporary furniture and bespoke furnishings with some fun elements.”
